All about me
While studying at Lancaster University, I started off writing for the student newspaper, and soon got hooked. I wrote as much as I could alongside my studies, churning out news, features, and reviews. I was given my own regular features column, commenting on weird and wonderful student news worldwide.
Fresh out of university and hungry for more, I embarked onto an NCTJ Postgraduate Magazine Journalism course at Harlow College, Essex. It helped develop my existing skills and added a few more to my repertoire. Soon after, I joined Barker Brooks Communications, where I worked my way up the ladder, editing and writing for some of the country's top commercial medical journals. I even created a brand new spinal magazine under my own editorial and design strategy, and it's still going strong today. I then became Business Editor at Communicate (Europe), mucking in with all sorts of print and digital publishing products, including business and energy magazines, online blogs, various promotional and marketing materials, pitch documents, brochures, websites and even in-app tutorials. Since then, I've worked at medical comms publishers, higher education institutions and charities to create engaging, inspiring and educational content. |
